Let's Hear It England

(Clive Tyldesley) Just imagine the joy if they win.
(Martin Tyler) This is the moment for England fans to rise together as one.
(Guy Mowbray) A nation united.
(Steve Banyard) Bidding to become the Champions of the World.

Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
We’re gonna red, white, blue you
Shoot right through you now

Bobby Moore and his team did score the greatest win of all
‘66 gave us all our kicks, and Hursty had a ball

Golden trophies, our one big hope is there’s more of that to cheer
Be the best, and go beat the rest, have no fear

Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
We’re gonna red, white, blue you
Shoot right through you now

Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
We’re gonna red, white, blue you
Shoot right through you now

(Rob Hawthorne) England stand on the verge of history.
(Ian Darke) Well this is the stuff dreams are made of.
(Peter Brackley) It’s fantasy football from England.
(Simon Brotherton) We’re heading for a shoot-out.
(Peter Drury) The country holds its breath.
(Steve Wilson) One kick from glory.
(Jon Champion) Too often England have felt the raw pain of penalties.
(Clive Tyldesley) The tension’s unbearable.
(Martin Tyler) Up he steps, and he’s scored!
(Steve Wilson) The greatest prize in football belongs to England!

Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
We’re gonna red, white, blue you
Shoot right through you now
(Peter Drury) So many happy faces

Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
Let’s hear it En-ger-land (oh-ay, oh-ay-o)
We’re gonna red, white, blue you
Shoot right through you now
(Guy Mowbray) It doesn't get any better than this

We’re gonna red, white, blue you
Shoot right through you now

“England!”

Overview
The lyrics are supposed to be fun to sing and easy to pick up.
The aim is to help everyone visualise success and encourage England to victory.

Why 'En-ger-land'?
"Ever since I was a young boy, I remember everyone singing 'Wem-ber-ley' rather than 'Wembley', so this was my way of paying homage to the National Stadium." (Steve Banyard)

Why bring up penalties?
We think it's about time we got over previous disappointments, and focus positively on winning penalty shoot-outs should they be necessary. We want the song to help everyone visualise success.

Why 'Red, White, Blue'?
Blue may not appear in the national flag, but it does appear in the official FA Crest for the England team.
